Organic Matcha 30g
Organic matcha powder from Yame, one of Japan's most storied tea-growing regions.
It comes from Nakayama Kichishoen, a family-run tea company in Kurogi, deep in Yame's tea country, founded in 1865. The company has been producing green tea here for over 160 years and holds JAS organic certification.
Yame is best known internationally for its gyokuro, but the same shading and processing know-how goes into its matcha: tea leaves are grown in shade before harvest to boost chlorophyll and amino acids, then steamed, dried, and ground into the fine, vivid green powder that gives matcha its intensity. This one is made for daily use rather than formal tea ceremony, which makes it a flexible pantry staple.
Sift it before whisking to break up any clumps, then use hot but not boiling water for a smooth, foamy bowl of matcha. It works just as well cold, whisked into milk for an iced matcha latte, or folded into cake batter, cookie dough, or ice cream base for that unmistakable matcha color and depth.
