Kit Kat Cookies & Cream 9pcs
Japan's own Kit Kat world: instead of plain milk chocolate over wafer, this one works crushed cocoa cookie straight into a white chocolate coating — giving it a signature mottled look and a slight grit against the wafer.
Nestlé Japan, headquartered in Kobe, has built an entire flavor culture around Kit Kat here since the early 2000s — hundreds of regional and seasonal flavors, helped along by the pun on kitto katsu, "you will surely win," which made the bar a popular good-luck gift before exams. Cookies & Cream is one of the long-running regulars in that lineup, made at Nestlé's own Kasumigaura plant in Ibaraki.
Nestlé's own tip: freeze it. The coating firms up into something closer to a thin chocolate crust, with a crisper snap and a cooler, less sweet finish — how it's most often eaten in Japan during summer.
