Organic Umeboshi Paste 110g
Due to the long maturation, this paste has a particularly large amount of umami. A few drops enhance tofu (hiyayakko), grilled fish, pork or chicken. With anchovies, spring onions or chives, sesame seeds and olive or sesame oil it can be used as a dip for raw or cooked vegetables.
The Ume for this premium Umeboshi paste are grown without pesticides or artificial fertilisers, which makes it a premium organic product. This delicate Ume paste has especially much umami in the finish and an intense smell of the ume fruit.
Fukami is a 4th generation family business and grows their own Ume (Japanese plum) which then is processed further into Umeboshi (pickled plum). Their company is located in Wakayama province, which is famous for their Nanko Ume fruits.
