Umibudo (sea grape literally in Japanese) is a sort of green seaweed small grapes shaped. The umibudo quality and taste is very appreciated in the producing Prefecture of Okinawa. This one is raised and harvested in a very rich in minerals seawater, drawn from 612m deep in the ocean near Kumejima.

The seagrape is preserved in deep sea water, to keep all its freshness and stability. We suggest to drain it in a sieve, and immediately soak it in a clear and almost frozen water. If it tastes too salty, plunge once again 4 minutes in clear water, strain and savour right away. The grapes crack under your teeth and fill your mouth with a delicate iodized flavor. You can also serve it with a ponzu seasoning or try sunomono vinegar. So good!
