It is produced by Kameya, a third-generation family business located in Shizuoka Prefecture, a region blessed with pristine water sources and recognized as the heart of Japan's wasabi culture.

Kameya grows their own wasabi on traditional stone terraces that are fed by pure mountain spring water. These cultivation fields are so culturally and ecologically significant that they have been designated as a Globally Important Agricultural Heritage System (GIAHS) by the United Nations. By processing the fresh plant immediately, they capture the fleeting, sharp herbal notes that define true wasabi.

The result is a versatile seasoning that combines the savory crunch of quality salt with the refreshing, elegant heat of wasabi. Unlike the harsh burn of imitation products, the spiciness here is crisp and aromatic, meant to enhance ingredients rather than mask them.
