Ichibutsuki is a unique rice which uses brown rice yet it is polished only to 10 percent so that all minerals, vitamins and dietary fibre stay in the rice. For this one Koshihikari from Ibaraki Prefecture is used where there are ideal conditions for growing high quality rice. Brown rice is healthier than white rice, yet it is often very difficult to cook. Or with the right process, it may take too long.

Therefore, ICHIBUTSUKI is a good way for health conscious people as it virtually offers the same amount of nutritions, minerals, vitamins and dietary fibre as brown rice. However, it can easily be cooked as white rice. The taste and amazing texture of ICHIBUTSUKI is unmatched and people with high emphasis on health and eating healthy and well will be more than satisfied with this high quality rice.

How to cook rice


1. Wash Ichibutsuki gently three times. It is recommended to use colander when washing rice.
2. Once the rice is rinsed, put into a pot, preferable use stainless pot. For 150 gram of rice, use 180 ml of water. Rice and
water ratio should be 1:1.2. Use only cold water.
3. Recommended to let the rice sit in water for about 20 to 30 minutes. This is important when cooking ichibutsuki.
4. Let rice cook. Ideally use rice cooker. If you do not have a rice cooker, please use stainless pot.
5. Once rice starts to boil, gently stir and put on medium.
6. After 10 minutes of cooking, stop and let it sit for 10 minutes.
7. Rice should be cooked. Gently stir so that air gets in between the individual grains. And let breathe shortly. This allows
any remaining water to evaporate and allows the sweetness of the rice to be spread out equally.
8. Rice is ready to serve. Enjoy our delicious rice.
