The Yaezakura Cherry Blossoms from this Sakura Cherry Blossoms salt were picked at the world famous Hanami Unesco World Culture Yoshinocho (Nara Prefecture). They were picked, and dried using a special method, after extracted using the traditional method and then mixed with the high quality sea salt from Uminosei. You can experience a touch of hanami feeling at home with this very unique product and its various forms of using.
Uminosei traditionally mines sea salt on Oshima Island, 290 km south of Tokyo. After the Second World War, the production of sea salt was forbidden for a long time only rafinade salt was available. Uminosei fought with the authorities for many years and ultimately achieved the legalization of sea salt production for all of Japan.
