Manufacturer Kokonoe Brewery is a well known player in Mirin business for approximately 250 years and uses only local basic ingredients for this unique seasoning sauce. For this umami product there is real hon mirin used made only from mochi rice (glutinous rice), koji and rice shochu. This Kokonoe mirin is brewed traditionally using the old method, which means, no sugar or other flavors or preservatives are added.
