Tokyo la nuit - Mateusz Urbanowicz
It is time for a night walk in one of the densest metropolises in the world that the master of Tokyo illustration invites us: Mateusz Urbanowicz. After the success of his first book: Boutiques de Tokyo, in this follow-up he remembers his arrival in the megalopolis, evokes those moments of solitude where the only escape lies in the night stroll, like a meditation to better observe the city.
He evokes certain architectural details, but also the atmospheres encountered, his working techniques to achieve this breathtaking mastery of line and color. The personal interview at the end of the book with one of the greatest directors of Japanese animation cinema will delight fans of the genre even more.
Mateusz Urbanowicz was born in 1986 in Silesia, Poland. After studying computer science, he worked for the tablet manufacturer Wacom and painted at the same time, before he realized that this is his real passion. He then attended graphics school and moved to Kobe, Japan to improve his animation and comics skills.
