Beniotome Kuro Sesame Shochu 720ml
This special black sesame shochu called Beniotome Kuro Sesame Shochu has a particularly intense taste thanks to the use of black sesame. Over 20 percent sesame meets the second basic ingredient: barley. Furtheron, Black koji is also used, which provides spicy and earthy flavors - an overall unique taste experience that you cannot forget after the first sip.
The Beniotome Kuro Sesame Shochu (Goma Shochu) is another type of shochu, because the shochus from Beniotome are the world's first distillates made from sesame. It is made in the city of Kurume in Fukuoka Prefecture on Kyushu. In 1978, the recipe for this spirit was developed by 65-year-old Haruno Hayashida, who, as the wife of a sake brewer, had actually had nothing to do with the production of shochu. After many attempts, she finally managed to create the intense and complex taste of a sesame shochu and became a pioneer in this field.
